The appropriate characteristics for choosing the right packaging for this sector are determined by the kilos of product to be packed and the fabric required. For this reason, it is important to know:

• Stage at which the product to be packed is (harvesting, storage, commercialization).
• Type of coffee (standard or special).
• Number of colors to print, on one or both sides.
• Colombian coffee packages are identified by three stripes in the center of the package (red – green – red).
• Cocoa packages are identified by three stripes on one side of the package (yellow – blue – red).
• The fique packaging is also offered without any type of identification (natural color).
